Ams' Arsenal v Blades Report
Thursday, September 28, 2006

Due to Dutch telly messing up, I couldn't view this game live.
So my report this week is based only on highlights. Normal service should be resumed next week.
Warnock made numerous team changes for this game.
Most notable being the dropping of Morgan and Unsworth and Geary and Wright coming in.
Jags dropped back into the centre half position alongside Claude Davis, who was making his league debut for the Blades.
Kazim-Richards made his first start too for the Blades.
Many people were confused by the formation at kick off. It seemed to be 4-5-1, or 5-4-1. One of the 2 anyway.
The game followed the pattern that many imagined beforehand, with Arsenal doing most of the pressing. United though were dogged in defence and went into the break with the game scoreless.
It was a shame that the game couldn't finish then!
Arsenal started the 2nd half in much the same vein and finally made the breakthrough after 65 minutes. Some may say the defence made a mistake, but it was a very good piece of Arsenal skillfull play that created the goal. Henry heavily involved.
By this time our player were tiring.
A Jags own goal quickly followed and Henry wrapped it up with a header.
Kabba made a welcome return, coming on for the last 5 minutes and almost scored with a header.
Lehmann made a great save to keep it out.
The scoreline was slightly flattering for Arsenal and the Blades could walk off the field with their heads held high.
Arsenal were better than us. We knew that before the game, but at least we didn't lay down for them.
Wenger and Henry both gave us compliments after the game.
I expect to see a completely different team and a different formation against Middlesboro next saturday, where we have to attack them and go all out for those precious first 3 points.
